Privacy notice.

How Apex Build Pro Ltd uses the information you send us.

Who we are

The data controller is Apex Build Pro Ltd, Unit 13 Roding House, 2 Cambridge Road, Barking, Essex, IG11 8NL (company number 16029464). Questions about this notice can be sent via [email protected].

What we collect

When you request an assessment we collect your name, postcode, phone number, email address if given, your answers to the form questions, a description of the work and any photographs you attach.

If you reach our site from an advert or a link we shared, the web address can carry tags that say where you came from (for example the advert, the campaign, or a click ID from Google or Meta). When you send the form, we read those tags from the address of the page you are on and send them with your enquiry, so we know which adverts bring enquiries. We do not store them in your browser.

Why we use it

To respond to your enquiry, to assess the work, to plan travel and to prepare a quote. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in running the business. Measuring which adverts work is also in our legitimate interest. Advertising cookies are only used with your consent (see below).

Cookies and advertising

We show adverts on Google (Google Ads) and on Meta (Facebook and Instagram). If you click Accept on our cookie banner, we load the Google tag and the Meta pixel. They set cookies that tell Google and Meta that someone who saw or clicked an advert visited our site or sent an enquiry. That helps us count enquiries from each advert and stop paying for adverts that do not work. Google and Meta may also use this information under their own privacy policies, for example to show you adverts.

These cookies are optional. If you click Decline, or make no choice, none of them load and the site works just the same. We use Google's consent mode, so Google is told that advertising cookies are not allowed unless you accept.

We save your choice in one small cookie of our own called apex_consent, set only after you choose, which lasts six months so we do not ask you on every page. You can change your mind at any time: .

The quote form is protected from spam by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks your browser for signs of automation. It is needed to keep the form working and is not used for advertising.

Calls, texts and messages

We call you back about your enquiry, and we may text you about it too, for example to arrange a time to talk or a visit. Calls to and from our business number may be recorded, so we have an accurate note of what was said and agreed. If you message us on WhatsApp, we reply there and keep the conversation with your enquiry.

Who sees it

Your enquiry is delivered to the Apex Build Pro team by email. These companies process data on our behalf:

  • Cloudflare hosts this website, runs the Turnstile spam check on the form, sends the form to us by email (through our own Cloudflare mail service) and routes our email.
  • Google (Gmail), where enquiry emails arrive and are answered.
  • CircleLoop, our business phone service, for calls, call recordings and texts.
  • WhatsApp (owned by Meta), only if you message us on WhatsApp.
  • Google (Google Ads), only if you accept advertising cookies.
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram adverts), only if you accept advertising cookies.

Some of these companies may process data outside the UK, under the safeguards UK law requires. We do not sell your details, and we do not share them with anyone else.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become jobs are deleted within 12 months. Records for completed work are kept for as long as we need them for guarantees, accounts and legal obligations.

Photographs

Photographs you send are used only to assess your enquiry. We never publish a customer's photographs without their written permission.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to our use of it. Contact us via [email protected]. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
